Punta Cana in the top ten of more attractive tourist destinations for 2010

BREAKING NEWS: PUNTA CANA .- Punta Cana, the main tourist area of the Caribbean and the Dominican Republic, is ranked 5th in the top ten tourist destinations for 2010, created by Travel Mole, a large on-line community of travel and tourism.

Punta Cana is an emerging destination for tourists for the new year and leading tour operators to describe the beaches as the most impressive of the Caribbean says the weekly ACEESS Dominican Republic which is distributed to 35 000 tourism professionals States U.S. and Canada, and 10 000 professionals in Europe and Latin America.

The Dominican tourist zone arrives before Dubronick (6th place), New York (7th place), Stockholm (8th place), the Maldives Islands (9th place), and New Delhi (10th place). First place is occupied by Cape Town, South Africa, followed by Istanbul, Las Vegas and Vancouver, home of the Winter Olympics of 2010.

Punta Cana has 34 000 rooms spread over 62 hotels located in the beach front on a coastline of 25km of white sand and coconut palms.

BREAKING NEWS: PUNTA CANA.- With an investment of US $30.0 millions financed by the Popular Dominican Bank, the principal French tour operator for target Dominican Republic, the Nouvelles Frontieres Hotel Club was inaugurated in this tourist pole.

The Nouvelles Frontieres is the principal active tour of France for Dominican Republic and today its first Nouvelles Frontieres inaugurates Hotel Club in the country, specifically in Uvero Alto beach, Punta Cana, creating a different way of approaching the vacations.

Jean Marc Siano was there, president of the directory (board of directors) of the group Nouvelles Frontieres and Peter Long, president TUI’s CEO Travel, along with the secretary of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garcia; executive and proprietary Jean Luc Oizan Chapon of Investments Waterville; Francisco Alvarez, and Ferhan Gorgun, local investors, among other personalities.

Garcia Fernández demonstrated that nowadays Dominican Republic is the leading region in the whole area of the Caribbean, and it’s even considered as one of the five tourist regions more forceful of the whole world, shown in important international magazines, which gives as result that when you observe with whom they are comparing us to, it is necessary to realize that what we have here is a real jewel.

He said that for Dominican Republic it is a real pride and very important that for this first investment in the line of hotels club has chosen to the Caribbean destination, and that precisely should be this area of the country that, since the whole world knows, it is the leading region of the Caribbean, classified among the five most forceful of the world.

He congratulated the group of investors to whom I express that they can rely on from this moment backward and forever the full and complete support not only of the Dominican authorities but of the tourist sector and of the whole Dominican Republic.

Jean Marc Siano, president of Nouvelles Frontieres, explained that with the imagination and the will to make hotel clubs evolve, in its economic dimension as with spirit totally of new borders, we should sense beforehand a difference in the activity and the environment.

He said that if the Group Nouvelles Frontieres chose Nouvelles Frontieres to place its Hotel Club in Dominican Republic, it is because we know the professionalism and the hotel excellence of the island.

Likewise, Jean Luc Oizan Chapon, owner of Investments Waterville, said that Dominican Republic was chosen for being a destination very estimated by French people, simultaneously he was grateful towards the Dominican authorities and towards the minister of tourism for their support, and emphasized that in Dominican Republic other potentials do exist for the investment such as Montecristi.

Right by his side, Peter Long, president TUI’s CEO Travel, said that in spite of the challenges that we are living through, Nouvelles Frontieres is making different investments, being this our first hotel.

He added that they chose Dominican Republic for being a wonderful country of brilliant people and, especially, with spectacular beaches, this is why we are sure that our clientele and guests will have a lovely time here with us.
