For this reason and in order to promote, stimulate and trade the great tourist and commercial development of one of the most important tourist of the country, we are about to celebrate from September 15th and until September 20th, the first version of the EXPO BAVARO - PUNTA CANA 2009.

EXPO BAVARO - PUNTA CANA 2009, is a place of excellence for the commercialization of products and services that concern tourist, hotelier, commercial sectors and the general audience.

This exposition exposition’s goal is to create an professional environment of business exchange between suppliers and buyers, besides promoting and positioning their brand names.

This event counts with the support of the Association of Hotel and Tourist Projects of the east zone, and the Tourism Ministry, as well as the Association of Construction and Housing Promoters Enterprises (ACOPROVI), BAVARO - PUNTA CANA chapter, the Association of Real Estate Enterprises (AEI), BAVARO - PUNTA CANA chapter, Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Land Surveyors (CODIA), East Region.

The exposition will take place in the installations of PLAZA VELERO, which is the most complete and strategic commercial centre of the area.

Located in the centre of the point of convergence towards all the tourist destinations of the zone (CRUCE DE VERON).

EXPO BAVARO - PUNTA CANA 2009, is based onthe direct promotion of purchase managers and general managers of hotels, restaurants, enterprises of tourist services, constructors and promoters of tourist and residential projects, engineers, architects, decorators, institutional and public users.

The event is also supported by a large advertising campaign on all the medias (television, radio, written press, signs, banners, posters, marketing mail, specialized magazines, etc…).

Report reveals Dominican airspace is safe

BREAKING NEWS : Punta Cana.- The Dominican airspace is safe, according to the Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC), which also pointed out that the fact that there is a radar or not in an airport does not compromise security.

The National Pilots Association had complained that the radar at the Punta Cana International Airport was not functioning properly. Francisco Bolivar Leon, IDAC director of air navigation, said that last January the radar at Punta Cana suffered a failure for data over-saturation, but technicians of Thales, the manufacturing company, corrected the problem immediately.

As soon as the technical evaluation is finished, the Punta Cana radar will work at full capacity; so far it is only been used to follow aircraft due to security reasons, Leon explained.

The IDAC feels bad about the statements which say that the local airspace is dangerous. We want to stress it is not like that, the airspace in the Dominican Republic is safe, highlighted Leon.
