Touristic zone of Punta Cana-Bávaro generates jobs

This Represents 16% from the Gross Domestic Product

BREAKING NEWS : Punta Cana.- The president of the Hotel association Punta Cana-Bavaro, Ernesto Veloz, said that this hotel zone will directly bring about 35 thousand jobs, because the tourism is the principal economy in this country.

Veloz explained that with the economic movement there is a possibility for those Hotels to make a better service.

We are an option for tourists because we offer 34 600 hotel rooms in 64 hotels, in which you can find eight golf fields, and there is a project thet they will make five more. All those golf fields are located in Cap. Cana, Bávaro, Arena Gorda y Macao.

The leader of the hotel specified that 1 855 000 tourists came to the hotels in Punta Cana – Bávaro, last year in 2008, figure expected that area employers increase in more than 1.6%. Has pointed out that that figures 55 per cent belonged to tourists from United States and Canada, followed by the European market and the South Americans.
